The Artware Store originally opened its doors over 17 years ago in Groton, CT before moving to Mystic in September in 2007. 

Since joining it's sister store, The Finer Line Gallery & Framers of the Lost Art, in Mystic, the Artware Store contines to serve the artist community with its fine selection of artist materials, ready made frames, and art classes. 

Art classes are held  on the premises in the evening from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm throughout the week.  Call for a current schedule.

Summer  Art  Camp  -  Ages 4-7 and 8-12; Monday-Friday

Combining drawing, painting, and 3-dimensional objects

FIVE  Fun-Filled Days of Art   9:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.

You Choose Your Week  - Break for lunch at Mystic Pizza!

 

KIDS   CLASSES:

 

4-7  year  olds: Saturdays 8:30-9:45 6wk class. Materials included.

Cute projects and fun art exercises will be offered to unleash the creative spirit across a variety of mediums.  

 

8-12  year olds:  Wednesdays 4:00-5:30 6 wk class.  Materials included

NFA teacher, Jennifer Welch, will be teaching drawing principles,  color theory/painting, & printmaking


Teen & Adult Classes

 

OIL/ACRYLIC:  Advanced or Beginner:  Tuesdays 6-8  or Saturdays 10-12:   6 wks.    Teacher: Blaney Harris

 

DRAWING:   Beginners:  Saturdays 10-12:  6 wks with Susan MacKay

POTTERY:      Saturdays 1-3 pm; 6 wks with Haley Smith

Learn the basics of ceramics – clay preparation, tool usage, coil pot method construction & glazing.  Walk away with a finished glazed piece.   Materials included.
